Just like the ad on TV, Life comes at you fast. She looked beautiful and we had a surprise for her too. Amy's boyfriend, Donald, (did I tell you she had one?), came over before the dance to have dinner. We set up a table in the middle (red) room, with a few candles around and the torch light on dim. Amy's menu was Mt. Dew, ribs (prepared by Dad), salad, baked potato, and Chocolate Lava Cake. She thought she knew everything that was happening except for the part that Dad got dressed up and was their server! She almost blew Mt. Dew out her nose, when she saw him! And embarrassed for a very short time. I think that Lora enjoyed spying on them too!
So dinner is over and they were on their way to the Winter Formal, held at the Slickfork Saloon at Hamleys. Amy's dress was cream with black flowers embroidery on the skirt, with a black/cranberry ribbon belt. They had a great time, on her first 'real' official date!
